To many of her patients, Dr. Junnila's fresh approach, inquisitive nature, and clinical thoroughness are what contribute to her appeal as an obstetrician and gynecologist.  Dr. Junnila believes in active patient participation as an important part of optimizing the relationship between a patient and her physician, and also credits these relationships for making her a better doctor.

"I have been in practice for quite a while now and I truly appreciate all I have learned from my patients.  I continue to value collaborating with patients from diverse backgrounds all along the age spectrum and addressing their different concerns.  While the internet and social media can supply useful advice, I feel part of my job is to help sift through some of the misinformation that can contribute to anxiety in our fast-paced society." 

Dr. Junnila enjoys the full scope of practice that being an ob/gyn Physician affords.  Whether helping to welcome new babies into the world or addressing more complex gynecologic issues through surgery, she finds that every day is unique.  She also recognizes the importance of helping women maintain their everyday health through routine office visits and enjoys catching up on patients’ lives during these encounters. 

When Dr. Junnila is not working or chauffeuring her teenage children, she enjoys running, hiking, reading, and traveling.  Some of her favorite travel memories include trips to Iceland, the Galapagos Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.   She also loves getting out in nature with the family adventure dog, Scout.
