Imaging Tests
Breast Imaging
Mammography is used as a screening and diagnostic test that uses radiology to provide images of breast tissue. Breast ultrasonography may be used as an additional testing method. Resulting images are used to detect and diagnose any abnormalities and determine the need for further testing or treatment. For an in-depth discussion of breast imaging, visit UpToDate.
Bone Density
Bone density is a screening test that is used to measure bone health especially when a patient is at risk for or determined to have osteoporosis. Based on the results, your practitioner may recommend a specific plan to build or maintain your bone health. For more information about Bone Density, click here for an UpToDate discussion.
