Dr. Elizabeth Otmaskin’s strong educational background in science and medicine formed the foundation for her career in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Otmaskin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, magna cum laude with a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. Remaining in New England, Dr. Otmaskin completed her postdoctoral training at Baystate Medical Center, learning and gaining experience alongside our own Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives!
Dr. Otmaskin participated in numerous research projects and received prestigious honors during her education and residency, including awards related to clinical excellence in obstetrics and female pelvic/reconstructive surgery, as well as recognition for academic excellence, teaching, and community service. She has served on numerous committees including groups focused on healthcare quality and patient safety, resident education, and electronic medical records transition.

Dr. Otmaskin’s clinical interests include laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, preventative women’s healthcare, and management of both routine and complex gynecologic and obstetric problems. Outside of the office, Dr. Otmaskin greatly values spending time outdoors and staying active. With her husband and two dogs, she enjoys hiking, water sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
